Web Design Dundee – Steven Higginson E-Commerce Website

Steven has been painting since an early age and produces a variety of excellent work including still lifes, portraits and his very popular Dundee cityscapes. Steven came to BlueCoo Creative as customers were having some issues with his previous website and he was looking for a smoother way to showcase his work and sell products. We sat down with Steven to understand which areas he would like to improve on and agreed that the user journey needed work. We created a website in which users could purchase pieces of art with as little friction as possible and we used product categories to separate the items for browsing based on what the customer was looking for.

We also spoke about what style was best to showcase his work and identified that a monochrome minimalist style would make a contrast making his paintings stand out.

It was essential that Steven’s e-commerce website worked well on mobiles and other devices as this was a frustration he had with his previous website. We ensured that both the gallery items and shop products stacked on mobile so the images could still been seen clearly even on a small screen size.
