02 Apr Thinking Positively During CoVid-19
Thinking positively during the CoVid-19 situation can be a challenge but during these unprecedented times, it’s important to think about the future and what happens after the lockdown is lifted. For those businesses who have to put things on hold for that period, it’s easy to feel like giving up and disconnecting from their clients/customer base. In actual fact the best thing you can do during this time is be proactive with your business. Here’s our top tips on how to do that:
Be productive
Why not use this downtime to finally set up that Facebook page? Or how about getting your products online with an online shop? Remember, the business world will eventually start spinning again and you want to be first out the gate when it does. Turn the frustration into something positive – revamp your logo, start writing blog posts – do all the things you didn’t have time to do before, so that when the lockdown is lifted and life resumes as normal, you are ready to take your business to the next level.
Support the Community
Now more than ever it is important to be a business with good values and support your local community. Do you have skills that could be useful to another organisation in need? For example, here at BlueCoo we obviously have technical skills and a vast knowledge of web design which is why we are putting together a directory platform for small businesses who don’t have websites to advertise their delivery services.
Doing something positive will not only help people who need it during a challenging time, but it will also give you a project to work on and stay mentally focused. On top of that, people will remember which companies stepped up in a time of need over ones that simply disappeared for a few months.
Build a Relationship with your Clients/Customers/Patients
If ever there was an opportunity to build a relationship with your customer base or target audience, it’s now. With many people off work and stuck inside, the amount of people on social media is skyrocketing and you can use these platforms to show your clients you still care.
At BlueCoo we work with a lot of dental practices and some practices are showing us how it’s done. From recording vlog messages for patients to providing home care instructions, these practices are letting their customers know that they care about their health and not just the money they bring in, and you can bet that when the doors open again, their patients will be more loyal because of it.
Why not set up a Facebook support group for your industry or host live webinars to make your clients feel involved?
By focusing, not on the negatives but instead on the opportunities to do something positive, you might just make the lockdown that bit more bearable and benefit greatly from your efforts when things return to normal.
